Oh wow, my favorite moment in book blogging? My question would be do I only have to tell one? This past year I had several, but I will reign in and decide to only tell of one.

And here it goes:

I went to Joseph Beth in Rookwood, Ohio to a book signing. My daughter and I got there early, yes like a couple hours early so we could not only pick up the books that we did not have by those authors but well, you know.. SHOP all books! We also knew that if we didn't get there early enough we might not get a good seat.

When we walked in and walked over to where the signing and interviews were going to be we found that there was another author there. A COOK BOOK!!!!  Okay, I know you might not get that excited about cookbooks, but I collect them. Have for quite awhile.

My daughter went ahead and did some looking around while I STOOD THERE STARING AT HER, and while I was listening to her tell about making biscuits and the secrets to making the best biscuits. As author Carrie Morey: Callie was telling about what flour, and the other ingredients as well as what and the how to's.. I was transported back in time to hearing my Grandma Cox teaching me how to make biscuits. All of a sudden I felt a tear roll down my check and was pulled back to the present when Carrie was saying that you "don't handle the dough to much".

I started talking to her, bought her cookbook, she signed and yes I went to kroger bought WHITE LILLY Flour and all the other ingredients for home made biscuits. After 30 years of store bought, due to not seemingly able to get my biscuits to rise or they would be hard a bricks, I finally made the Best, Fluffiest biscuits I had ever made.

Thanks Author Carrie Morey not only for an amazing cookbook, signing it for me, but for your wonderful walk down memory lane.

So that was just one of my favorite book blogger moments..  oh wait I didn't tell you about the other amazingly, funny, very wonderful authors that I also meet and just put the icing on the cake for me that day. Well you will just have to check back in with me here and I will fill in some other wonderful days of this past year.

So please leave a comment below and let me know about your best blogger day was.

That is a beautiful moment. How special that something like that brought such an emotional reaction.

*hangs head in shame* I've never even attempted to make my own biscuits. But sometimes the best moments of our bookish lives are the ones that happen by accident. ;) I really love your post, it's lovely!

I really enjoyed reading this post about your favourite book blogger moment. It was beautiful and I love that you had that feeling of being transported back in time.

It's amazing when a book reminds you of a sentimental memory - especially when it's a good one! ;)

Thanks Farhana Chowdhury me also. That was really a great memory, my grandma Cox raised me until I was in seventh grade and she passed away that year just before Christmas.

What an amazing moment!

I got to meet Jim C. Hines at ICON in 2012. I was so floored that he sat in the lobby with me and friend and talked with us between sessions. It was amazing!
