Synopsis:

My name is Katniss Everdeen. Why am I not dead? I should be dead.

Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Gale has escaped. Katniss's family is safe. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding.

It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to overthrow the Capitol. Everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plains--except Katniss.

The success of the rebellion hinges on Katniss's willingness to be a pawn, to accept responsibility for countless lives, and to change the course of the future of Panem. To do this, she must put aside her feelings of anger and distrust. She must become the rebels' Mockingjay--no matter what the personal cost.

 My Review:

MOCKINGJAY picks up where CATCHING FIRE leaves off. And as the same with THE HUNGER GAMES and CATCHING FIRE, MOCKINGJAY captured me right off the bat. When a book has your emotions on one level one minute then in another minute way over on another emotion, it keeps your attention. And that is exactly what MOCKINGJAY does.

Suzanne Collins became a very favorite Author while reading her three books. The anticipation and the drama she creates with her characters is beyond your wild imagination at times.

My question for this review is: What is Katniss's greatest challenge when she returns to see the ruins of her home?

I feel for Katniss Everdeen right from the first book and she did not let me down through out the whole series. Nor did any of the characters. The descriptions of the capital and other districts as well as the some of the characters within this book where so vivid. Putting yourself with in the pages was never hard. Which to me is something that I look for with in the books I read.

So for the reasons above. I am giving this book my Breath of Life rating of:
