Synopsis:
The second installment in Kristen Simmons's fast-paced, gripping YA dystopian series.
After faking their deaths to escape from prison, Ember Miller and Chase Jennings have only one goal: to lay low until the Federal Bureau of Reformation forgets they ever existed.
Near-celebrities now for the increasingly sensationalized tales of their struggles with the government, Ember and Chase are recognized and taken in by the Resistance—an underground organization working to systematically take down the government. At headquarters, all eyes are on the sniper, an anonymous assassin taking out FBR soldiers one by one. Rumors are flying about the sniper’s true identity, and Ember and Chase welcome the diversion….
Until the government posts its most-wanted list, and their number one suspect is Ember herself.
Orders are shoot to kill, and soldiers are cleared to fire on suspicion alone. Suddenly Ember can’t even step onto the street without fear of being recognized, and “laying low” is a joke. Even members of the Resistance are starting to look at her sideways.
With Chase urging her to run, Ember must decide: Go into hiding…or fight back?

My Review:

WOW! I could not wait to get my hands on this second book to an amazingly thrilling, suspense filled series. Let me tell you "I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!!!

Thru out the whole first book my emotions were all over the place. And I was thrown right back into the pages of BREAKING POINT in the first chapter. Ember and Chase are not only still trying to come to grips with the way of the world now, but they are trying to stay under the radar. Not hiding so to speak, but not get noticed.

Author Kristen Simmons has made it to the top in my opinion, of my love for YA Dystopian!
Her style of story and character building is Amazing. Not once have I gotten lost in the plot or board by any of the characters. Yes it is fast paced but not too fast that you have to stop and figure out what is going on. She fills the pages with awesome details of places, people as well as the plot to the point that I could actually see them in my head. I could feel all of the emotions that each and ever person with in the story has.

The cover of BREAKING POINT pairs so well with the first book, ARTICLE 5. Love them setting on my shelf side by side. And now I also have the third book setting there as well.

My favorite character would have to be the heroin, Ember Miller. For one she is fragile in the beginning of the series, but she knows what she wants. Ember has many different emotional sides to her and the way she responds to the many changes in her life makes me root for her. But I also have yelled at her in, my motherly voice, (laughing out loud) but I have also wanted to hold her and tell her it will be alright. I have put myself into her world and asked myself what I would have done in her shoes. That makes her real to me.

The world that Author Kristen Simmons has built within the covers of her books is much like the world today. She has used real names of places. But putting it into a clasped state of war filled, no one really to trust, but also finding true love as well as something "REAL" to fight for. From the first Article 5 rules to live by to anarchy within this world, the dystopian world is so EXTRAORDINARILY REAL!

So for the reasons above, and Again If I could give Breaking Point a higher rating I Most Certainly Would. I am giving Breaking Point a Breath of Life rating of:

(Drum Roll Please)

FIVE CLOCK RATING!!
Disclosure: I did not receive the above book in exchange for my honest opinion and or review. But the Opinions are my own and yours may differ.
