A young girl needs to spread her wings, but a young woman needs roots.
English teacher Sarah Bray never thought she’d return to Sycamore Falls, but a traumatic event at her inner-city school leaves her desperate for the sanctuary of home. By returning to her roots, an older and wiser Sarah hopes to deal with the demons of her present and confront the ghosts of her past.
She discovers a kindred spirit in Lucas Miller, a teacher from New York with demons of his own. As the newest faculty members at Sycamore High School, they quickly become friends – bonding through Lucas’s culture shock and their mutual desire to build new lives. When they open their wounded hearts to each other, their friendship effortlessly evolves into romance.
Their love is put to the test when Matt, the quarterback of the football team, shares his deepest secret with Sarah. When the conservative community finds out, Sarah and Lucas – along with the town of Sycamore Falls – are schooled in the lessons of acceptance, tolerance, and love.

My Review:
Oh My Oh My, Have you ever been taught a lesson that it took several times to actually Get
That Lesson?  Not fun huh? Do you remember when you became or are you now becoming a teenager? And do you remember trying to be older and that you thought you "Knew It All?"
Well then this book, Lessons Learned by author Sydney Logan is a must read for you!

I absolutely wholeheartedly, no doubts, fully LOVED this book. Always wondered what it might be like moving back to the little town that I grew up in. Have always had "What If's."
But reading Lessons Learned has actually helped in someways to put some of those things completely out of my mind now. Character Sarah Bray is wonderful. Needing some of what some would call "tender loving family friends love", she goes home to where her roots are.
But she is also faced with things in her past that she will have to come to terms with, or will she? Can she? Why should she?

There is love, romance, fear, anger, what if's, kindred spirits, wanting to scream, cry, laugh, wanting to give hugs, and at the end.... SO WANTING MORE!!!!

Author Sydney Logan is an amazing writer. This book is just the kind of book that I snuggle into my recliner and do not want to put down. Her style is some what laid back but at the same time a page turner. I will follow her books and put them all on my tbr list and I will make sure to follow up with reviews. She is now on my author favorites list.

I wholeheartedly recommend this Amazingly, Very Suspenseful, Well Written book to ALL my inspirational, romance readers!

Pick it up today and please let me know what you think.

So due to the above, I am giving this book a Breath of Life ratings of:

Five Clock Rating!!!
Disclosure: I did receive this book for my honest opinion and review. But these opinions are my own and yours may differ.
