Princesses are a big attraction for most girls, especially preschoolers and early readers. "The One Year My Princess Devotions" is written for early readers and preschoolers. Each devotion sheds light on how the reader is a princess--a daughter of God, the King. The devotions also emphasize how little princesses should respond to being God's children. Each devotion includes Royal Words (the Bible verse), Princess Thoughts (a short devotion written for early readers), a Prayer, and a Princess in Action section (an activity related to the devotion). The devotions are thematic according to the calendar. For example, January features creation and February highlights love.Little Princesses will look forward to learning more about their King each day.
My Review:
I have enjoyed reading and reviewing some amazing devotions in the past couple of years. But I will have to say this one really was so amazing!
First to reach younger children with Gods Word is one of the first thing I did growing up in church. I absolutely loved being a helper in Sunday School and or nursery. When I was able to start teaching myself, these were the ages that drew me and spoke to my heart. I truly believe that even the youngest child can be reached for God. I loved preparing to teach.
This devotion was such a wonderful day to day devotion. It is kinda like playing dress up with God. There is a thought for the day, a scripture, a prayer and then a place for them to a activity to drive it all in.
The cover is sweet, the devotions understandable and down to the level for the age. On that note thou I will add that after reading and checking out for the review, I gave it to one of my granddaughters who loves devotion time. She was and is older but still enjoyed every day of it. She would send me messages on facebook or call me with the scripture of the day.
So for all the reasons above I will be giving this precious devotional a Breath of Life rating of:
Five Clock Rating!!
Disclosure: I did receive the above book in exchange for my honest opinion and or review. But the Opinions are my own and yours may differ.
