Breath of Life Bible Journaling

For the past week or two it has come to me about starting to share my love of  Bible Journaling here on my blog.  The Breath of Life Bible Journaling will be posts where I share with you at least one or two of my pages from My Creative Bible that my daughter gave me for Christmas two years ago. I will also be sharing the Scriptures that coincides with them as well as possible chatting a little on my personal views concerning the passage.

So here we go with my first post.

Psalm 23
David's Confidence in God as His Shepherd
A Psalm of David
1. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2.He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me
beside the still waters.
3. He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of
righteousness for his name's sake.
4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
thou anoint-est my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

I worked on this picture the day my husband was having his second surgery this past January. I was told that I would have plenty of time to get there before they took him down. But when I got there they had already took him and that he was already in surgery. Needless to say I was upset. Not only did I not get to see him before, but we did not get to pray together before. So I went ahead into his room and was trying to just calm down some and just try to wait on news or for them to bring him back up. I was trying to pray as well but didn't seem able to do any thing but cry due to them not waiting for me to get there before taking him down like they told me they would.
I walked over to the window and just stood there for a moment, while tears streamed down my face. Then a small still voice (The Holy Ghost) said Psalms 23. I still stood there trying to quite myself and again the voice (The Holy Ghost) said Psalms 23. So I went over pulled out my Bible, flipped over to the Scripture and there was this beautiful picture of exactly what I needed. Praise the Lord for His Knowing of what I needed. While I sat there coloring this picture my anger, anxiety, worrying about the what ifs, just starting drifting away. By the time I was done I was calmed down and just a feeling of peace was there. Thank you Lord!
This scripture passage has always been a favorite of mine, and has helped me to get through of a lot of hard times. And now I also have the perfect picture of the way it makes me feel.

 So, that's one of my Bible journal pages for this week. Do you have a, My Creative Bible or any other Bible that you journal in? I would love for you to share with me on Breath of Life as well as over on Instagram @#breathoflifebiblejournaling

And as always, Happy Reading.....
