Guess what...Its Monday! What are you reading this week?
This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. It's a meme where you share what you read last week, what you're currently reading and what you plan on reading that week.
Thanks for stopping by. First let me just say that I have been in a little bit of a reading slump (for lack of a better word)... But I have regained some much needed reading pep,
Thanks for stopping by. First let me just say that I have been in a little bit of a reading slump (for lack of a better word)... But I have regained some much needed reading pep,
and below is what I am still reading this week. But not much has changed since last week, but still enjoying these reads.
What I'm Reading:
Princess Eadlyn has
grown up hearing endless stories about how her mother and father met.
Twenty years ago, America Singer entered the Selection and won the heart
of Prince Maxon—and they lived happily ever after. Eadlyn has always
found their fairy-tale story romantic, but she has no interest in trying
to repeat it. If it were up to her, she'd put off marriage for as long
as possible.
But a princess's life is never entirely her own, and Eadlyn can't escape her very own Selection—no matter how fervently she protests.
Eadlyn doesn't expect her story to end in romance. But as the competition begins, one entry may just capture Eadlyn's heart, showing her all the possibilities that lie in front of her . . . and proving that finding her own happily ever after isn't as impossible as she's always thought.

When Ruby woke up on
her tenth birthday, something about her had changed. Something
frightening enough to make her parents lock her in the garage and call
the police. Something that got her sent to Thurmond, a brutal government
“rehabilitation camp.” She might have survived the mysterious disease
that had killed most of America’s children, but she and the others
emerged with something far worse: frightening abilities they could not
control.
Now sixteen, Ruby is one of the dangerous ones. When the truth comes out, Ruby barely escapes Thurmond with her life. She is on the run, desperate to find the only safe haven left for kids like her—East River. She joins a group of kids who have escaped their own camp. Liam, their brave leader, is falling hard for Ruby. But no matter how much she aches for him, Ruby can’t risk getting close. Not after what happened to her parents. When they arrive at East River, nothing is as it seems, least of all its mysterious leader. But there are other forces at work, people who will stop at nothing to use Ruby in their fight against the government. Ruby will be faced with a terrible choice, one that may mean giving up her only chance at having a life worth living.' to

The MIRACLE MORNING by Hal Elrod
[A message from Robert Kiyosaki, bestselling author of 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad']
“Hal Elrod is a genius and his book The Miracle Morning has been magical in my life. “I have been in the human potential / personal development movement since 1973, when I did my first EST training and saw a whole new world of possibilities. Since then, I have studied religions, prayer, meditation, yoga, affirmation, visualization, and NLP (neuro-linguistic programming). I’ve walked on fire, and explored other “unconventional” philosophies, some “too far out there” to mention. “What Hal has done with his acronym SAVERS is taken the “best practices”—developed over centuries of human consciousness development—and condensed the “best of the best” into a daily morning ritual. A ritual that is now part of my day. “Many people do one of the SAVERS daily. For example, many people do the E, the exercise every morning. Others do S for silence or meditation, or S for scribing, journaling every morning. But until Hal packaged SAVERS, no one was doing all six ancient ‘best practices’ every morning. “Miracle Morning is perfect for very busy, successful people. Going through SAVERS every morning is like pumping rocket fuel into my body, mind, and spirit… before I start my day, every day. “As my rich dad often said, “I can always make another dollar, but I cannot make another day.” If you want to maximize every day of your life, read Miracle Morning.”

Don't Say a Word by Jennifer Jaynes
Death has always
stalked single mother Allie Callahan. For the first time in her life,
she has found a fragile sort of happiness living a quiet, peaceful
existence in East Texas with her young son, Sammy, and her adoptive
mother.
Still, Allie fears she may be susceptible to the same mental illness that destroyed her serial-killer mother and brother. She's haunted by the idea that she could become incapable of caring for Sammy.
When twelve-year-old twins Zoe and Carrie arrive on her doorstep late one night, their parents slain in a vicious double homicide, Allie’s strength and sanity are put to the test. What did the twins see on the night of their parents’ horrific murder? They are too frightened to say.
Soon faced with a series of menacing phone calls, a rising body count, and the pressure of keeping the girls and her own son safe, Allie fears she'll lose her mind—and her one shot at happiness—once and for all.
